The Yorkshire and Humberside Region has 43 U3As and on Wednesday 3rd August they are holding a Summer Showcase at Askham Bryan college. All U3A members are invited to attend and see displays, entertainment, demonstrations, including choirs and dancers. These will show the many different Interest Groups and activities which are offered across the region. Perhaps we may see an idea for a new group for CHU3A?
Theatre, Craft and the Social Group are hoping to present displays from our U3A. There are also tours of the college grounds and gardens plus plant sales.
There are a number of competitions which any U3A members may enter. These are Creative Writing, Art, Photography and Bunting. Anyone fancy entering a Pub Quiz team?

We are planning to run a coach to the event at a subsidised cost of £6 per head. Pick up at 9 am from the lower end of Asda car park. You can take a picnic or there are various catering outlets, including a hog roast and a fish and chip van!
