As a result of the interest U3A members have shown in this project, Dalesman Coaches have offered the following package.

A four day-three night programme commencing Tuesday 15^th May 2018. Visiting Blenheim Palace, Churchill's birthplace, his grave at nearby Blaydon and Chartwell his home in Kent. Whilst in the area, a visit to Heever Castle – Anne Boleyn's home – is included.

ITINERARY

Tuesday. Set off to Abbingdon for an overnight stay at The Milton House Hotel, with a break in Stratford on Avon on the way.

Wednesday. At 10am we visit Churchill's grave; then on to Blenheim Palace for an hour long conducted tour and free time. Later we journey to Tunbridge Wells for our two- night stay at the Mercure Hotel

Thursday. Visit to Chartwell. Split into 2 Groups 11am/11.10am. Afternoon visit to Heever Castle.

Friday. After breakfast, we return home via the A1 calling at Stamford Market on the way.

ACCOMMODATION

Hotel accommodation is on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. Entrance fees to Blenheim Palace, Chartwell and Heever Castle are included.   

Total price per person sharing a twin/double room is £344. A limited number of single rooms are available at an extra cost of £30 per night.
