 Itinerary

Day 1 Begin your journey to Ireland

Make your own way to Leeds-Bradford Airport in time for your 06.35 Ryanair flight to Dublin arriving at Dublin Airport at 07.35. Upon arrival in Dublin, your coach will collect you and transfer you to Hunting Brook Gardens, the contemporary Irish garden situated in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. You will receive a guided tour of the garden followed by tea/coffee and cake. Afterwards visit June Blake’s garden home to the Cow House, an award-winning, modern architectural conversion. Your coach will then take you onto your hotel, the Arklow Bay, where you will be welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits. Dinner is served at the hotel.

Day 2 The ‘Garden of Ireland’, Powerscourt Gardens and Mount Usher Gardens

Today explore beautiful County Wicklow. See Glendalough, pass the Wicklow Gap and enjoy stunning scenic views of Wicklow’s countryside and the two Blessington Lakes. Powerscourt House & Gardens is one of the most beautiful estates in Ireland. The Gardens include an extraordinary series of Italianate terraces, a walled garden with beautiful gates, rose beds and herbaceous borders, the Dolphin Pond and a Japanese Garden. Afterwards visit Mount Usher, amongst Ireland's most loved gardens, by both professionals and the wider public. The gardens were first planted in 1868 in the Robinsonian style, after the Irish garden designer William Robinson, who emphasised informal planting in harmony with the natural setting of the garden. Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel followed by live entertainment*.

Day 3 Day 3 Malahide Castle & Gardens, Dublin and Johnnie Fox’s Irish night

Today visit Malahide Castle & Gardens – the historic Castle is now home to a special interactive garden exhibition and the stunning walled gardens are open to the public. Later enjoy some free time in Dublin before travelling back to Wicklow to Johnnie Fox’s Irish Pub Situated in Glencullen on top of the Dublin mountains, Johnnie Fox's is one of Ireland's oldest and most famous traditional Irish pubs - and also famed as the highest pub in the country. Tonight you can see one of the top Irish dancing performances in the country along with traditional music and Irish food. Return to hotel.

Day 4 Kildare, the Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens and Newbridge Silverware

Today travel to the Irish National Stud with its Japanese Gardens, St Fiachra’s garden, and even see some of Ireland’s famous racehorses. Afterwards, visit the famous Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre which houses the complete range of products and the famous Museum of Style Icons on-site. There also may be time afterwards to visit the Kildare Shopping Outlet. Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel followed by live entertainment*.

Day 5: Kilruddery House & Gardens and Return Home

This morning check out and begin your journey to Killruddery House and Gardens. Located on the outskirts of the capital where Dublin meets Wicklow. There’s so much to see and explore. Nature has never been more relaxing with leisurely walks in one of Ireland’s most renowned gardens, filled with beautiful planting and wooded areas, water features and distinctive outdoor “rooms”. Enjoy a guided tour of one of Ireland’s Great Historic Houses, and then relax in the attractive tea room. Afterwards your coach will continue onto Dublin Airport in time for your 16.05 Ryanair flight arriving at 17.10 at Leeds-Bradford Airport.
