Visit Elsecar Heritage Centre, Newcomen Steam Engine and Wentworth Woodhouse

Arrive at the Heritage Centre (10.00 am), car parking is free, there is plenty to explore and there is an option to have a Demonstration and tour of the 1795 Newcomen Engine House which takes approx. 1 hour (Important to note there are some accessibility issues within the building such as two narrow staircases to head to the upper floors, and a deep step to enter the building.)
Meet up with the group for Lunch at 12.30pm - The Milton Arms, Armroyd Lane, Elsecar, S74 8ES . Nearer the time we will be asking you to pre-order your food. Here is a link to the menu Milton Arms Menu

You could take a picnic or eat at one of the cafes at the Heritage Centre
After lunch you may choose to go to Wentworth Woodhouse (2 miles from Elsecar)

Here you could visit the house and gardens and nearby is the 15th Century Holy Trinity Church
COST OF TRIP
Tour of the Newcomen Engine House -£ 6.00 per adult
Deposit for lunch £5.00 (which will be deducted from your final meal bill).
Wentworth House & Garden admission - £8.00 per adult

This trip is by Car & Car Share contribution to your driver on the day suggested at £10
NOTE: We need to get at least 15 people on this trip to allow us to get the group discount price.
