InTroduction to jewellery making/silversmithing

Workshops which aim to cover the basic silversmithing techniques required to make an item of silver jewellery. You will be introduced to the techniques and after practicing on copper to develop your skills you will move to working in silver and making your own piece of jewellery. Each workshop will focus on making a particular type of jewellery, such as rings or earrings, with the opportunity to customise to your own design. Techniques to be covered may include: annealing metal, piercing/sawing, forming/shaping, texturing/patterning, soldering, finishing and polishing. If you ever fancied having a go at making your own silver jewellery then get in touch.
