Are members aware of the Online Learning Events provided by the Third Age Trust via Zoom?  I have just participated in my first session of Laughter Yoga.  It lasted 35 minutes and was great fun.  I sat for all the session but there’s still plenty of movement involved.  Give it a try - you have to book a free ticket..  Look on the National U3A website or in Sam Maugher's National newsletter for information about all the events on offer.  I’ll be laughing again next month after I've joined a session which is going to help me understand How the Human Brain Works at the end of this month.

We are planning a visit to 18th century Tatton Park on 29th August. The visit will include an optional guided tour of the Old Hall (approximately 2 hours) and free time to wander round the estate and Mansion, and also get lunch. The coach and entry to the house and grounds will be £30.00, or to include the tour £35.00.

'If Tatton Park is a jewel in the crown of Cheshire, then the medieval Old Hall is its hidden gem.

Standing within its own grounds in a quiet wooded area of the park, the medieval Old Hall has a special atmosphere. A site of historical and archaeological importance within the Northwest of England, it takes visitors on an evocative journey through its 500 year history as a dwelling place - from medieval manor house to Victorian Gamekeepers cottage.'

Details for booking will be available in April.
