Those who have moved to Leeds during the last two years or so may like to join the New to Leeds list.  Short walking tours of different parts of the city centre can be arranged during the spring/summer, and possibly visits to other sites of interest.  Please contact me, Lorraine Harding.  Email address in Member Directory.

Come and join us each Wednesday morning at 10 at St Pauls church just of Otley Old Road for a gentle game of Indoor Kurling and for a chat. Bending down not required as we have pushers to help us.

The following email has come from Leeds City Museum and may interest you.

    Dear staff,

I'm messaging to ask if you could kindly forward the following event invitation to your members:

    https://www.beinghumanfestival.org/events/death-afterlife-and-between-tales-geneva-bible-and-beyond

The event, sponsored the University of Leeds and the Leverhulme Trust, will be at Leeds City Museum between 2:30 to 3:30 and is completely free of charge. It is organised within the context of the 'Living with Death' exhibition at the Leeds City Museum. A number of members from Leeds' U3A are attending. If you would like to book your place, please email me at M.Condorelli@leeds.ac.uk as seats are limited.

    Best wishes,

    ---

The national AGM took place recently and a major change in how the U3A is managed and governed was voted through and will now take place. Full details can be found by following this link.

    updates-from-our-agm

One result of the changes is that there will be elections for representatives to join the Council or the Board. If you wish to shape the future of the U3A nationally why not stand for one of these bodies?

It is now possible to register for this event. Please note that we will have a limited number of places available because of fire regulations at CVH. There will be approximately 20 members of the Daytones Barbershop Choir attending which reduces the number of members we can accommodate. It is therefore important that if you are intending to attend that you register early. Thank you.
