I am very excited to be able to let you know that yesterday the Board of Directors approved a plan to bring the first ever national u3a festival to York and I wanted members and u3as in our region to be the first to know.

We will be holding it at York University where there are sufficient facilites for us to be able to welcome members from all over the UK to come and enjoy all manner of interests and sporting activities all in one location.

To be held over a 3 day period in the week beginning 15th July 2024 we expect to be able to accommodate sporting tournaments, art and craft activities and workshops as well as music and local excursions.

Plans are very much in the early stages and although it may be a little time before we get further details to you I hope you will put it in your diaries.  There will be student accommdoation available right next door to the sports and exhibition/restaurant areas we will be using but there are also local hotels, guest houses, and campsites which members may like to book.   There will also be the opportunity for people to come for the day.

Please do ask any questions and if I can I will answer, and as time goes by I will keep you up to date.

I hope you will share my excitement and look forward to sharing our beautiful region with our fellow members.

    All the very best

    Margaret

I tried paying for an event using PayPal as a guest but PayPal rejected my card. I have looked on the web for any clues as to why this might be and came across the following guide.

U hope these points are helpful.

Who doesn’t enjoy the varied social events and trips that C&HU3A arrange?  The person chiefly responsible for all these is Ray Hardwick.

Ray would really appreciate if a few other people could assist him. If this is something you’d like to know more about, please get in touch with Ray.
