I have been told that this should be posted out today.

If you do not receive one in the next few days, please contact me, allowing for the fact that people are still receiving delayed Christmas cards!

Julia Tanner very kindly arranged a visit to Farnley Hall near Otley for the Art Appreciation group and friends and family were invited. Farnley Hall was mentioned a few times when the group researched J.M.W. Turner as a place he had spent time with the family.

Julia arranged a private tour, hosted by Guy Fawkes, the current member of the Fawkes family in residence. The house is beautiful with views across the Wharfe valley. There are quite a few watercolours painted by Turner of the house and surrounding area, painted while he was staying with his mentor, George Fawkes.

We had a lovely afternoon, good company, a charming host and the cake was good. Thanks again Julia!
